Rochester Groove is a community of local musicians, music fans, promoters, freaks and weirdos who all share a common bond around the love of music.
At the risk of generalizing, this site & its members are all fans of the jamband/groove rock genre (which is somewhat ironic as the members of this site would probably define the 'jamband' genre differently). What we all seem to love is the freedom, energy, and most of all improvisational creativity that radiates from this genre of music.
Here in Rochester we are lucky to have such a variety of talented bands living, visiting, and most importantly - playing. This site exists to help spread the word about this local talent, to help promote regional and national talent vising the upstate NY area, and to serve as resource for this entire community to come together & listen/talk/share about this great scene.
